Transcript

All right everyone, it’s time to meet Randolph. He’s a rising junior here at Morgan who is holding down a power-packed schedule while pursuing a degree in Multi-Platform Production. Now, when it comes to networking and being active on campus, from singing on the world renowned Morgan State Choir to staying involved in the community, Randolph is the epitome of activity and he knows all about student organizations.

– Thank you, Desi. When sure To pursue a higher education, I knew going to a HBCU was the right decision. Being around like-minded individuals that look like me was a necessity for my personal and professional growth. One of the things I’ve learned here at Morgan State is the power of networking. Having a social battery is so important because the grind does not stop. I have so many opportunities at Morgan to get out there, meet people and grow my network through student organizations. I’m currently involved with nine student organizations on campus and I think I have room for a few more. I serve as executive on the Campus Activities Board or CAB and I’ve been instrumental in making sure that the events that happen on campus represents the wants and needs of our student body. As a member of the Morgan Male Initiative of Leadership & Excellence or Morgan MILE, myself and other young men learned the value of leadership and dignity. We even had the opportunity to represent Morgan on a national scale as panelists of the National Association of College and Universities of Food Services. My orgs have brought bright minded individuals into my circle, creating relationships that will last for a lifetime, and there’s something for everyone here at Morgan. We have organizations that represent different cultures, religions and personal perspectives from having groups that reach out to the LGBTQ+ community, engaging male leaders on campus and promote physical and mental health for Black women. Student organizations have enhanced my college experience by creating memories and opportunities. Morgan State gave me another chance to be better and surround myself with people who want to do the same. Back to you, Desi.

– Wow. Randolph, talk about hustle. I mean, where do you get all the energy? For sure there are plenty of activities, groups, and organizations for Morgan State students to pursue their interests and passions on campus. So awesome.
