Let’s meet Christopher, a first year occupational therapy doctorate student whose journey to Touro took him halfway around the world. He’s bringing that experience to Touro Nevada where everything can be found under one roof in a facility that includes things like a multimedia production studio. This is where students enhance their experiences by creating videos for professors and faculty record instructional materials. You are up.

– Thanks, Alex. I’m a first year occupational therapy doctorate student here at Touro University of Nevada. I come from a family of medical professionals. Touro University of Nevada is a dynamic institution and its programs in healthcare and education drew me in. Before attending Touro I worked throughout Asia as an educator for more than a decade. Coming from that background, I understand the importance of setting the highest standards and access to state-of-the-art facilities. I found all of this at Touro Nevada. For the mind and body, we have a complete wellness center. There’s a weight and cardio equipment room plus a dance and yoga studio. It’s great to break a sweat when you need rest from the books. While in class, we have access to some of the latest technology like our anatomized table. That really helps us explore anatomy in 3D. Occupational therapy classrooms are well equipped with tools to simulate interventions. This is how we learn to best help patients with activities of daily living. Our study and breakout rooms include wireless screen casting and video conferencing capabilities to make collaboration simple. Our learning center’s 3D printers make bones and body parts so you can even hold a human skull. These medical and student facilities are really helping me succeed. Henderson, Nevada is a safe city and Touro does a great job at creating a secure and safe learning environment. Everything is under one roof, one building. After Touro, I intend on staying in Nevada. There’s a growing need for healthcare providers here. There are a lot of opportunities for high paying careers in occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, physician assistant, and osteopathic medicine.
