Let’s meet Maddie. Not only is she on track to complete her bachelor’s and MBA in four years, but she also has multiple internships, plays on the basketball team, and started her own business, all before graduation. She exemplifies CUW’s commitment to professional readiness and support through rigorous academics and real world experiences. Maddie, tell us how CUW has paved the way for your future.

– Thanks, Alex. I chose Concordia University after taking a tour and seeing all the opportunities on campus. Over the last four years, these opportunities have shaped my academic and professional journey in ways I’ve never imagined. The prestigious Business Scholars Program is the cornerstone of my experience at CUW. This unique program allows me to earn both my bachelor’s degree and my MBA at the same time in just four years. While these degrees are incredibly valuable, the experiences I’m gaining through coursework and internships sets this program apart. In my time here, I’ve had four internships in the sports industry, one of which allowed me to combine my love for basketball with my major by working with Moolah Kicks, the number one women’s basketball brand. Being so close to Milwaukee and all its professional sports played a huge role in landing my internship over the summer with Good Karma brands. Through these internships, I gained experience in marketing execution, partner acquisition, and content creation strategies. I obtained new skills and knowledge that directly contributed to my success and led to a full-time job offer before graduation. The encouragement and support from CUW continues beyond internships. During my senior year, I launched my own freelance marketing company, which specializes in digital marketing solutions. I’ve already seen tremendous success, generating over 10 million social media impressions for a major client. My dreams of having my own company are now reality thanks to the guidance and resources from the CUW faculty, who are truly committed to nurturing future business owners. Looking back at my time at Concordia, I’m grateful for my growth in mind, body, and spirit. The opportunities I’ve had to learn, lead, and serve have prepared me for the next chapter of my life, wherever God leads. Back to you, Alex.

– Wow, Maddie. It was great to hear how CUW’s emphasis on internships and hands-on experiences directly led to job offers and entrepreneurial success. With a focus on professional readiness, faculty advisors from across six academic schools, CUW students are empowered to do internships, lead initiatives, and succeed in their chosen fields. Thanks, Maddie.
