Next, we’re heading over to catch up with Devon. This guy is truly inspiring. He’s originally from Ghana and he’s a junior psychology major. Devon is gonna talk us through the importance of having such a diverse community around him. Let’s hear about it, Devon.
– Thanks, Alex. What’s good everyone? You guys have made it to the best part. Ever since I was younger, I had a passion for helping people and that has made me wanna study psychology. When I had my first tour here in high school, it hit me that I had to be here. For me, I feel like KSU has one of the most amazing psychology programs that I know of. Many of my classes are filled with students and faculty members from diverse backgrounds. As a native Ghanaian, it was great to see that Kennesaw State’s campus is so diverse, including other students like me from Africa and other countries. Finding your community is so important and for me, it was great to be able to meet up and chill after class with them. Having that connection made me feel more at home. This gave me a strong sense of security and support as we tackle classes and became more involved at Kennesaw State. At KSU, I have grown so much as a person. I look back over the last two years and I’m proud of the person that I’m becoming. I’ve learned more than just concepts in my major, but I’ve also gained a new perspective from meeting others. It’s good to say that the opportunities KSU has given me are so rewarding. That’s all I got, back to you Alex.
– Devon, I’m so happy that you’re in a program that supports your dream and desire to be part of the diversity that makes KSU so unique. Kennesaw State is clear on their goal of encouraging and supporting individuals from various backgrounds and cultures. By learning from one another, this college is producing strong agents for an exciting future. It’s been real Devon. Thanks again.
