With locations in Deming and Gallup, the Western New Mexico University main campus is in Silver City, New Mexico, in the shadow of the 3.3 million-acre Gila National Forest, minutes from rugged public trails and endless adventures. Founded in 1893, WNMU is the state’s only Applied Liberal Arts and Sciences university and one of the nation’s original Hispanic Serving Institutions.
From associate to graduate programs as well as workforce certificate programs including welding, electrical and commercial driver’s license, WNMU acts as a traditional university and community college serving the southwest region.
