Get ready to be inspired as we dive into Leo’s remarkable story of triumph and growth and we might be meeting the next president of the United States. The mic is all yours, Leo.

– I thank you, Alex, for the opportunity to share my story. I’m future President Townsell. In ’09, I was faced with a felony charge that I didn’t commit. Naive, I pleaded guilty to avoid jail time. But unfortunately, I end up serving nearly two years. Now, I’m going to Community College of Denver to study law. My favorite part about being a CCD student is actively engaging with my campus and community. I actively contribute to the student government lending my voice to important matters. It’s all about making a difference. I’m proud to be part of the student organization managing our food pantry. No student should go hungry and I’m determined to make that a reality. A volunteering at the church on campus has opened my eyes to the struggles faced by the unhoused. Through compassion and support we can uplift their lives and bring hope. These community initiatives have taught me the power of unity and empathy. Together we can create a stronger more caring community for everyone. At CCD, join me in this journey of community change at the Community College of Denver. Let’s be for positive change. At CCD, Auraria campus houses three institutions collaborating to provide abundant opportunities for student engagement. SPARK, the student programming activities and resource center, foster leadership and service aiding students in finding clubs accessing the food pantry or utilizing the Linden Library. Find SPARK and Tivoli Student Union for dedicated assistance. My goal is to be a lawyer. As a criminal justice major at CCD, I’ve learned valuable lessons toward my career goals but the best part, the incredible people I’ve met and learned from so many both helping and being helped. They shape my experience, growth, and life. That’s my story. Over to you, Alex.
